"I am the wisest man alive, for I know one thing, and that is that I know nothing." ~Socrates
Got WMD?
Again, I have been proven right. Sadly, this is not one of those "I
told you sos," that bring on the adrenalin rush of being superior in
reasoning, rather feelings of sadness, anxiety and just a little bit of
irritation.
I told my Captain friend, and everyone else that asked,
around the time of the "Pre-emptive Strike" against Iraq that we were
attacking the wrong country. I didn't believe for a minute Saddam was
developing anything other than a massive bank account. Yes, the man was
a terrible leader, an evil tyrant, but he was not our problem.
The Iraqis should have revolted on their own accord just as the
Americans did against the English Monarchy, if they were okay with
living in such terrible conditions, then so be it. If you aren't
willing to stand up for yourself, then you deserve to live under your
government's terms wallowing in your meekness.
And now, it seems,
North Korea is about to rub our mistake into the rest of the Americans'
faces. I questioned from the beginning why we would waste our men,
budget and equipment for a non-existent issue for the American people,
when we've known since before the war that North Korea was developing nuclear weapons.
Now, there mission is complete with the capability to send a WMD to the USA, With Love.
Way
to drop the ball America, good job in protecting our security. We've
tapped our resources dry to protect our country from a weak, feeble
country of no consequence and opened ourselves up to nuclear
obliteration.
Keep up the good work...for as long as you can, anyway...
