Miracles Happen
Yes, it is true and they come in so many ways. It is because I know this that I can always have hope. This is why when everyone around me feels down-trodden; I am able to say "tomorrow is another day" and actually feel comforted by it. This is why, when even I feel down and out, I quickly pull my self back up.
Our miracle today came in the form of a good man, one of my husband's clients.
Please know that all of my husband's clients are extremely (extremely) wealthy people. Please know that I have, indeed, felt bitter resentment about this on occasion. I have placed these people into the stereotype typically depicting the wealthy as arrogant, uncaring and always stepping on the little people.
Today has proven to me how wrong this assumption truly is, as one has just shown us that not only will he not treat us like worthless labor but that he sees in Chris the same thing I do, a hardworking man who deserves a chance to go forward.
Chris went to tell the man about his plans to quit the business, of course, he wanted to know why. Chris told him the whole story of what is happening and the man told him to just let him help us out. There isn't a bank in the world that would help Chris out (due to mistakes of his youth), but this man will. He sees Chris as an investment worth keeping around, as I have.
Someday, Chris will see it, too.
I think I'll remind Chris of something he told me last year...We are truly blessed.
