"I am the wisest man alive, for I know one thing, and that is that I know nothing." ~Socrates
Sad State of Affairs
It was bad enough, learning this morning, that the smoking ban passed by 52% (a margin of approx. 1200 people), but to learn further that the Texas House has put even more disturbing legislature on the table...
It's called HB 2893, which would enact a new vehicle registration sticker. What is the big deal you ask? This sticker is special, as it would have a transponder inside of it. This transponder would be read by decoders strategically placed along the roads and highways that transmit the data (make, model, license, etc.) to compare with insurance records. If the car has no record of insurance, that's right, you are getting a ticket in the mail.
I understand it's illegal to drive without liability, but that's crossing the line.
The bill further notes that there would be limitations made because of privacy (whatever the hell that means, as if they haven't already invaded enough), but under certain situations the police can use it to dig deeper than just your insurance record.
Where the hell are the American's? Why are they going on, blissfully unaware of what is happening? It makes me sick the laziness of us all.
You know what's next, don't you? The microchips you have put in your dog in case he's lost are going to mandatory for humans, required implantation at birth and a deadline for implantation on everyone else. You will not pass go without someone knowing who you are and where you are at any given moment (For all of the Conservative Christians, read the Left Behind Series and see how this chip is comparative to the Mark of Satan and then try to argue with me about this issue).
I don't think I'm over thinking, or exaggerating. I do think it's time for We The People to get off their dead asses, though!
