"I am the wisest man alive, for I know one thing, and that is that I know nothing." ~Socrates

Sadly, as excited as I was before, I am disgusted now. Crooked Democrats running from the battle of the Crooked Republicans.
I wonder...was Washington as vile in actuality? Or Lincoln? Hell, any of them on the face of the South Dakota mountain?

Is it possible, that even they were dirty, conniving politicians? Conceivable that, through history, their true actions of greed and corruption were covered over with the boastings of America's independence?
Granted, we are told some truths (such as Lincoln preferring to ship the slaves back to Africa instead of granting their freedom), but we quickly forget and label the truths as trivial due to the actual end result (i.e.: the 13th ammendment) of their actions. Why is this?
Will DeLay be called a hero in the year 2087?
Has there ever actually been one person who has led this country, or any country, without self-righteousness, greed, personal gain or evil doing in their repertoire? Has there ever been a person of true virtue and honor to lead the masses? Or is it - due to human nature - an impossiblility for this to even be imagineable, thus making it an insignificant issue as time has proved that our nature has not and will not change?
Such dark creatures, human beings.
