There is a chance to stop the National ID and to stop us from being branded like cattle. There are states opposing the legislature, though for - in my opinion - all of the wrong reasons, at least some states may stand up to fight it.
Governors are protesting the expense of biometrics, require them to protest because of the unconstitutionality of biometrics. For the most part, we are all law abiding citizens of the US, and we deserve to be treated and respected as such as opposed to property of the government with out any right to privacy under the guise of homeland security. Stop allowing them to control you through their promotion of fear.
Remember that this country was founded on the purpose of "We The People", the federal government belongs to and works for us. Prompting your state's Governor to oppose and refudiate The Real ID Act is your civil duty and you need to act fast. American's have been lax in their duty of protecting the country from it's government. Stand up and make them work for you, not against you. Don't let them drag us down into a socialist democracy, where we aren't voting for leaders but for dictators who want to know and control our every move. Send a letter to your Governor , get your friends and family to do the same, telling them to refuse this federal order and keep the power of the states in the states themselves not the Homeland Security Bureau. Send letters to your local papers . Threaten your govenors with lost votes if they do not stand up for you, there will always be power in that.
I'm requesting that you all dig up all of the knowledge available regarding the Real ID and pass the information on to everyone you know.
